This year we will be leading the Fall Skills sessions ourselves; with Coach Dejong and his staff & players leading Tuesday nights and our new Skills Director Anna DeHamer leading the other night (night is dependend upon gym availability)
Tuesday nights will be held at Northview Middle School for 2nd – 8th grade from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The schedule for the 2nd night of Fall Skills is not listed at this time but we will send that information out as we get it. This is a great bonus to our players as it gets them direct guidance and development from the HS Coaches and will be located on the North Side of Ankeny which makes transportation easier!!!!
The first night of skills will be September 10th and goes until Mid-October when we start normal Team Practices.

Our goal is to have 3 hours of practice time weekly for each grade level.  We look to start practice the 3rd week in October and will last to the last week of Feb. TPractice location will be dependent upon gym availability through the City (school gyms) and gym rentals at Kingdom Hoops on Tuesday & Wednesdays.
We are fortunate to have a facility such as Kingdom Hoops to facilitate our practices as it is challenging to count on the city’s lottery system to get the Elementary and Middle School gym times.
Skills Director, Anna DeHamer will be at 1 practice each week facilitating skill drills.
Younger grades typically will have the earlier gym times and the older grades will have the later gym times.

NEW SKILLS DIRECTOR:  We are SUPER EXCITED to have Anna DeHamer on board to lead the girls skilils sessions this year!!  Anna DeHamer has a very strong basketball resume.  Anna was the 2009 Colorado Gatorade Player of the Year, 2009 Miss Basketball, Played for Iowa State University, Several Big 12 Accolades and drafted in the WNBA, Pick #23 by the Connecticut Sun.

Anna’s goal is to encourage young ladies to develop a strong fundamental foundation at their grade level by the end of the season by building on skills throughout the season in a fun, high energy, and confidence building environment.

If you are new to the organization or need to order a new uniform we will get more information to you on how to order them during tryouts or via email.  Cost is approx. $100 plus the cost of an optional shooting shirt. Uniforms need to be ordered by September 1st.
2nd Grade will likely enter the Four Mile League in Des Moines where a uniform is provided with the registration.

ALL information will be on the web site:  www.acbasketballclub. org

** You may get duplicate emails, due to list of players in the 2018-2019 season as well as new or already registered players for the 2019-2020 season.
